Hennessey has just announced the production of the incredible Venom F5. Built at only 24 units sold for 2.1 million dollars each, the American hypercar will develop 1,817 hp in order to exceed the 500 km / h mark.

The Bugatti Chiron had better watch out, its fiercest competitor is coming soon. Remember its name, Hennessey Venom F5. But why should the French manufacturer fear a model from an unknown brand? Quite simply because the American is aiming for the speed record for a production car.

And it gives itself the means to achieve its ambitions. Under its carbon coat, very McLaren in style, it hides a V8 biturbo 6.6 placed in the rear central position with a power of 1,817 hp and 1,617 Nm of torque. Yes, yes, more than a Chiron then!

Add to that a curb weight of just 1,385kg, thanks to a carbon monocoque weighing just 86kg, and you get incredible performance from this 4.67m long, 2m wide and 1.131m hypercar height.

The 500 km / h mark

It’s easy, the Venom F5 is a rocket: 0 to 100 km / h in 2.6 seconds, 0 to 200 km / h in 4.7 seconds, 0 to 300 km / h in 8.4 seconds and even 0 to 400 km / h in 15.5 seconds. Above all, the Hennessey should exceed 500 km / h. Enough to titillate the SSC Tuatara for the fastest production car record in the world.

To reach this speed, the driver will sit in an all-leather and carbon cockpit, just behind a racing car steering wheel. The infotainment is managed by a 9-inch screen placed in the middle, while another screen will control the air conditioning and a third screen will act as digital meters.

The Hennessey Venom F5 will only be produced in 24 units sold for $ 2.1 million each. Production has just started.
